The Council of Ministers discussed a draft legislative instrument exempting establishments, taxpayers and owners of economic actors from all taxes, financial and local fees, service fees, additions and complements imposed on the restoration and rehabilitation work of their facilities, shops and homes located within the administrative boundaries of the old city (old and heritage markets) in the governorates of Aleppo and Homs, and the burdens of water subscriptions. The Council also discussed in its weekly session today, headed by Eng. The council stressed the concerned authorities to follow up on the availability of chicken and eggs in the market in sufficient quantities, review production costs, and continuously monitor the work of slaughterhouses and the fodder market, in addition to expanding Syria's interventionist role for trade in securing a price balance for the two materials in the markets.

The Council approved the contract for the rehabilitation of the four steam units in the General Electricity Generating Company for Mahardah with their complements with a total capacity of 567 megawatts, and instructed the Ministry of Industry to prepare a clear plan to advance the reality of the chemical and pharmaceutical industries and secure their requirements, including the rehabilitation or operation of damaged facilities through partnership with the private sector. .

In light of the completion of the inventory of heavy government and engineering mechanisms, the Council stressed the need to develop an integrated vision to make the best use of these mechanisms and to include them in the projects implemented by the public and private sectors. The Council was also briefed by the Minister of Justice on the steps taken to implement the national anti-corruption strategy and stressed the importance of follow-up in combating corruption in all its forms and at all levels.
