The first commissioner of the National Security Division of the Police Force, Cai Zhanpeng, suspected that he had visited a massage parlor involving the provision of pornographic services. The trial continues today (16th) in the Eastern District Court.
Magistrate Wen Shaoming ruled that the defendant's prima facie evidence was established, and the defense revealed that Cai Zhanpeng would be summoned to testify in the afternoon.
The four defendants: masseuse Li Yiqing (36 years old), unemployed woman Yuan Qiuxiang (34 years old, Vietnamese), masseuse Zhang Mingfang (35 years old), and unemployed man Hu Bingxiong (61 years old).
The three female defendants were each charged with one count of managing a prostitution establishment, namely VIET SPA on the 1st floor of Shengyi Building, Johnston Road, Wanchai, on November 5, 2020 and March 19, 2021 respectively; Li and Yuen were also charged with one count of management A massage parlor without a valid license; the only male defendant, Hu Bingxiong, is charged with operating a prostitution establishment at the same location from October 28, 2020 to March 19, 2021, and operating a massage parlor without a valid operating license.
