China has announced sanctions against seven Taiwanese government officials and politicians for supporting Taiwan's separatist agenda and bans them from visiting or doing business with the Chinese mainland.
The Xinhua News Agency quoted a spokesman for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Communist Party of China that sanctions have been imposed on seven people, including six members of the "Taiwanese Democratic Progressive Party", for inciting separatism, including "Siao Pei Khim," Taiwan's representative to the United States, and politician Ho Lee Seon. and Taiwanese Parliament Vice President Tsai Cichan.
The spokesperson noted that those subject to these sanctions and their family members will be barred from entering the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong or Macao, and the organizations or companies they belong to will not be able to cooperate with mainland organizations or individuals.
For a period of time, a few Taiwan secession fanatics tried their best and colluded with outside powers to carry out provocations, to achieve secession, to deliberately instigate confrontation across the Strait, and to undermine peace and stability in Taiwan, and their performance was very poor during the trip of US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the spokesman added. to Taiwan.
The sanctions were announced following two visits by US officials this month to the island, the first by Pelosi at the beginning of the month, and the second by a delegation from the US Congress led by Democratic Senator Ed Markey.
