An old man who stabbed to death with a knife because of his dissatisfaction with being criticized by a female colleague for stinky feet and other trivial matters was convicted of murder in 2001 and sentenced to life in prison.
After his parole in 2018, he lives in a nursing home in Kwai Chung.

According to the case, the defendant lived in the nursing home involved in the case from June 2018 to August 2019.
But after he moved out, the nursing home forfeited his 8,200 yuan deposit because he did not notify him in advance.
The defendant repeatedly went to the nursing home and asked to get the deposit back, but to no avail.
At about 12 noon on the day of the crime, the defendant brought the canal water to the nursing home and poured the canal water on staff Cen Manqin, Lin Junhao and others.
They felt the heat and immediately went to the bathroom.
Cen's forehead, upper lip and both forearms were burned.
Lin's face was burned by the canal water, and he may have swallowed a small amount of the canal water. He suffered second-degree burns to his face, throat and both ear canals.
