A scene of panic, in the middle of which an uncontrollable dog attacks all the occupants of the apartment.
This Sunday afternoon, in the Grande Borne district, in Grigny (Essonne), a mastiff injured four people before being shot, said the Evry-Courcouronnes prosecution, confirming information from AFP.
According to a police source, the “American Staffordshire-type” dog became angry “for an unknown reason” around 3 p.m.
"Perhaps a sudden gesture from the first victim," said the same source.
The mastiff first attacked a first young girl, biting her breast and tearing off a fingertip.
The other three injured, aged 19 to 23, were bitten on the arm, hand and lip.
The owner of the dog not identified
Alerted by cries of distress coming from an apartment, a neighbor intervenes in the accommodation.
But he fails to calm the dog.
The man then takes a knife and cuts her throat.
He was not injured by the animal.
The four young girls were taken to the Corbeil-Essonnes South Ile-de-France Hospital Center without vital prognosis.
This Tuesday, they have not yet presented themselves at the police station.
"The owner of the dog has not yet been formally identified," said a judicial source.
An investigation was opened for "unintentional injuries" and entrusted to the local police station of Juvisy-sur-Orge.
It aims to determine, after a veterinary examination, the category of the dog, if it was declared at the town hall and under what conditions it had been entrusted to the victims this Sunday.
In 2018, at Grande Borne, a man killed an American staff with a cutter in the street, while he was fighting with his own dog, a boxer terrier.
