With a blend of traditional and patriotic songs, Baraem presented the band “Nebki Sawa” a singing evening entitled “Haneen Al-Turath” at the Arab Cultural Center in Al-Adawy.

The band's buds toured the Syrian provinces with their audience, who tasted art and heritage, in an enthusiastic and graceful manner.

The evening program, presented by the band, consisting of 13 male and female musicians, led by musician Hassan Sabiha, was rich, varied, and carefully selected to match Al-Baraem's performance.

The band began its concert with a special instrumental that bore the name of the band, followed by a muwashshah “Helou Shamayel” and a sama’i playing for the maqam al-Rasset. One of the band's songs written and composed by the musician Sabiha.

In a statement to SANA reporter Bain, the band's founder, Sabiha, that the evening came as a heritage par excellence, and aims to preserve the heritage by presenting traditional songs and pieces that have been carefully selected to suit children and perform optimally, pointing to the exclusion of the instrument in the ceremony and the focus on strings, especially the lute.

The child Haider Ismail, a violinist who joined the band several months ago, expressed his love for heritage, the performance of old songs, and his passion for the violin, while the child Sidra Sabiha, one of the choir members, stressed the need to preserve the aesthetic of heritage to remain shining in the minds of all Syrians.

The child Nour Moussa, a violinist, expressed her passion and attachment to music, and that she came to present heritage, calling for its preservation by continuing to present traditional songs.
