The four defendants are mortgage loan applicants, aged between 49 and 57, including Zhang Liang, Peng Xueyan, Yang Peihong and Szeto Johnson.
The four were charged with five counts of fraud, contrary to the Theft Ordinance.

The first three cases involved Zhang Liang, Peng Xueyan and Yang Peihong.
The case is alleged to have occurred from June 2018 to January 2019, when the three applied for a mortgage loan from Wing Hang Finance through two financial intermediary companies.
The three are suspected of falsely claiming to Wing Hang Finance together with others that they are senior managers of a company and an education center, and managers of a logistics company, with monthly salaries ranging from 85,000 to 150,000 yuan, with the intent to defraud And induce Wing Hang Finance to approve three mortgage loans, amounting to about 1.7 million to about 3.8 million.
Suspected false claim that a monthly salary of 200,000 yuan
The last defendant involved Szeto Johnson and Johnson. It is alleged that the incident occurred from May to August 2018. At that time, he applied for a mortgage loan from Wing Hang Finance through another financial intermediary company for a property held by his father and Renovation loans.
The two charges allege that Szeto Johnson, together with other persons, falsely claimed to Wing Hang Finance that he was the engineering director of an engineering company with a monthly salary of more than 200,000 yuan, and with intent to defraud, induced Wing Hang Finance to grant him an approval A mortgage loan of $3.1 million and a renovation loan of $800,000.
