Major General Hassan Suleiman, Director of the Political Department, considered that Syria's participation in the Tenth Moscow Conference on International Security with a high-level delegation headed by General Ali Mahmoud Abbas, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces and Minister of Defense, confirms the depth and strength of relations between Syria and Russia and between the two friendly peoples and armies.

Major General Suleiman said in an interview with SANA’s correspondent in Moscow today: The relations between Syria and the Russian Federation, which are constantly developing and getting stronger and more solid, stand in the face of the hegemonic and colonial forces practiced by Western countries headed by the United States.

Suleiman added: The heads of the military delegations participating in the conference all stressed that the era of unipolarity and Western and American hegemony is over, and that relations of love, tolerance, peace and the principles of international legitimacy and international and humanitarian law should prevail in all fields.
