Music fans celebrate three days of Böbing Open Air: A successful festival "with a lot of love"

Three days of sunshine, 19 bands and so many visitors that the population of Böbing has doubled almost every day: this year's Böbing Open Air (BOA) was a great success.

Böbing – colourful, more colourful, Böbing: The spectrum that has been meeting in the middle of the small community for 35 years now is unique.

Starting with the audience: families with small children (with hearing protection, of course) celebrate with punks and heavy metal fans, some of whom could even be their grandparents.

Well-travelled people dance with local residents, young people with the young at heart.

Music connects generations, nations and societies.

This is certainly also due to the fact that the BOA organizers put together a great program every time: the acclaimed bands came from near and far and offered everything musically that keeps the party mood high.

Böbing Open Air: The guests celebrated all the bands

From the local founding fathers of the “Kapelle Kurzweil” festival, the “Gampskamplern” from Schnackslreith, via the Allgäu band “Stepfather Fred” to distant Vienna-Simmering (“Turbobier”), Venice (“Talco”) and Stockholm (“The Babe Show").

The guests all celebrated.

And rightly so, because everyone put on an amazing show.

The range of music on offer was as wide as the bands traveled: Irish folk punk met good old rock, funk met folk music “with Gwoit”, ska met rock'n'roll, punk met Cuban rhythms.

"You can tell that this festival was made with a lot of love," said Paddy Maguire from the band "The O'Reillys and the Paddyhats", for example, enthusiastic about the atmosphere on the site surrounded by single-family houses.

Marco Pogo would not have believed that something like this was even possible.

"In the middle of Bavaria and no residents who call the police, but join in the celebrations, that's awesome!" praised the charismatic frontman of "Turbobier".

The whole community is behind the festival - and everyone is helping

And this is probably the reason why the Böbing Open Air is so popular and why there is such a great, exuberant and yet peaceful atmosphere.

The whole community is behind the festival.

And that's not all: They all help - with the construction, conversion, at the food and drink stand.

Simply everywhere.

And if the evening concerts are too wild for you, you can come to the traditional Weißwurst breakfast with the Böbing brass band.

The main thing is that you are there and absorb the atmosphere.

So there were zero fights, so there were zero police operations and the paramedics also pushed a calm ball for three days.

"It has always been the most peaceful festival we've been to, and this year was the same," confirmed Ruth Müller from the security company commissioned.

The members of the BOA team can only agree: “We have only received positive feedback.

From the visitors, the helpers, the residents and last but not least from all the bands.

It's really fun that way!” A festival that couldn't be nicer: Grandios, sau-guat, grande (Italian), bra (Swedish), simply leiwand.
