The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Daraa organized, during the past two days, 15 catering seizures.
The Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Dr. Yahya Abdullah, stated in a statement to SANA’s reporter today that the owner of Al-Rifai bakery in the town of Umm Walad in the eastern countryside of Daraa was arrested for violating the weight of bread bundles, and he was fined more than 721,000 Syrian pounds, and the owner of Al-Ghazi bakery in the town of Karak for the violation of soaking bread With water prepared for kneading, the owners of Abu Halawa, Al-Fayez and Al-Jahed bakeries in the town of Ibtaa for a violation of non-compliance with working hours, in addition to organizing a seizure against a bread agent in the Al-Dahiya neighborhood of Daraa for a violation of refraining from selling.
Abdullah added that the consumer protection patrols organized a seizure against a bus driver on the Daraa-Damascus line, in violation of charging an increase in passenger transportation wages, and another against a service driver on the Izra Al-Maliha line, in violation of not announcing the passenger transportation fee allowance.
And the doctor Abdullah indicated that the arrests were made against the owner of a shawarma restaurant in the city of Izra with a violation of not announcing a service allowance, and the person working in Farooj and Shawarma restaurant in the Al-Sabil neighborhood in Daraa with a violation of not announcing a service allowance, and the person working in the chicken shop in the airport district of Daraa with a violation of not announcing Prices of live and cut broilers, in addition to organizing other controls for various commercial activities, food items and broilers in the areas of Izraa, Khab and Jasim, in violation of presenting irregular purchase invoices.
