Shocked but not hurt, the Moldovan tourist immediately lodged a complaint.
The analysis of video surveillance images from the RATP and the Paris police headquarters quickly bore fruit.
From 7:35 a.m., police officers from the Ile-de-France network brigade (BRF), supported by local police officers, arrested the three alleged perpetrators of the theft in the gardens of Trocadéro (Paris 16th), a place that had become a focal point for delinquency.
The suspects - two Moroccans aged 16 and 17 and a 22-year-old Algerian - are formally recognized by the victim.
They are immediately taken into custody.
The stolen Rolex was found in the police vehicle which was driving the suspects to the police station.
