After several weeks of heat wave, downpours fell on Paris this Tuesday, August 16 at the end of the afternoon, causing multiple floods in the streets and metro stations.
In the 15th arrondissement of the capital, users of the Balard station had to put their feet in the water to access the platforms, the water having seeped into the basements.
Several stops have not been served since the beginning of the evening, namely Daumesnil, in the 12th arrondissement, the Pont de l'Alma, on line 9, and the Pantin station, line 5.
Traffic in the streets was also impacted on Tuesday evening, due to several flooded boulevards, according to numerous images posted on social networks.
New York Avenue was also under water, according to Internet users.
Slowdowns were also reported by the SNCF.
