Soon: Netanyahu will publish a new book Israel today

The chairman of the opposition and former prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is expected to publish on November 22 a comprehensive autobiography that will be published by Shibulat, under the title "Bibi: My Life Story".

In the book, Netanyahu reviews the entire history of his life, starting from his childhood in Jerusalem, through his military service in a patrol of the Defense Forces, his studies in the USA, his participation in the Yom Kippur War, the death of his brother Yoni in the Entebbe operation and his entry into politics - including his long career since he was appointed diplomatic attaché at the Israeli Embassy in Washington , and until he became the prime minister who served more years than any other person in the position.

According to Shibulat Publishing: "The book was written in the wee hours of the night, on weekends and on long trips on Israeli roads, in a writing burst of about nine months, which began at the beginning of Netanyahu's term as opposition chairman.

In the book, Netanyahu even acknowledges with a wink the time-out from the Prime Minister, which allowed him to free himself up to write his life story and reflect on his future plans."

Netanyahu himself said before the publication of the book: "In the story of my life, grief and joy, disappointments and successes, lessons I learned and people I loved are intertwined. "The worst loss of my career"

In an excerpt from the book, which was approved for early publication, Netanyahu recounts his loss in the 2006 elections: "It was a crushing loss, the worst in my career. The Likud shrank to only 12 seats. Even in those we only narrowly won. During the counting, the 12th seat fluctuated between the Likud and Israel Our home of Avigdor Lieberman. If the 12th mandate goes to Lieberman, he will be crowned as the leader of the opposition and I will become a footnote. In the end, the soldiers' voices gave me this consolation prize, which was meager but decisive.

"I should say thanks for that too, I said to myself, and I went to the Likud election headquarters at the exhibition grounds. It was almost empty. I spoke with my head held high, but everyone - the public, the political system, and especially the media - felt that my story was over.
