The center-left camp has undergone an interesting change in recent years: instead of trying to clarify the positions, distinguish themselves from each other, try to convince in their unique view - the members of the parties compete in blurring the positions.
While in the right-wing camp a tough ideological battle is taking place over the future of Israeli control in the West Bank, over conservatism versus liberalism, over the justice system, between the more moderate and those with a revolutionary opinion - in the center-left camp they engage in evasion.

The attempt to produce as little substance as possible is a cornerstone of the party.

Gadi Eisenkot's entry into politics is reminiscent of the entry of his predecessors in the position, Gantz and Ashkenazi: the aura surrounding the military service is stronger than any opinion.

Gantz and Eisenkot actually claim that the architect of the modern obfuscation, Yair Lapid, is not obfuscated enough.
The establishment of the Israeli center camp, the one that fears God forbid to be perceived as left, is the life project of Yair Lapid.
The almost fanatical extremism with which Lapid insists on avoiding an answer on any issue that could be perceived by the public as controversial - is the essence of everything.

The establishment of the state camp is another evidence of the victory of the concealment camp over the ideology camp.
Compared to the right, where the ideological refinement is constant, in the left there is a constant attempt to test the limits of the discourse, to design the next plan, to identify the burning issues;
In the center-left camp they decided to focus on aesthetics, to try to position themselves as correct, but at the same time to give up discussing the difficult issues.
In the war for the attempt to transfer votes from one side to the other, the center-left camp gave up the effort to convince and decided to resemble the other camp in a less blatant way, or as it was defined - they decided to be "state".
The victory of the concealment camp is a victory for the ideological right.
The ideological fighters on the left have abandoned the public discourse.
Apart from one party in Israel, there are no standard bearers who stand against the wave of right-wing ideology.
All the main right-wing parties have tough ideological fighters, and on the other side there are dodgers - that way it will not be possible to convince the Israeli public.
