The police demanded that the suspect's detention be extended by 9 days, but as mentioned, the court extended his detention by only six.

The suspicions attributed to the suspect are serious security offenses - membership and activity in the Islamic Jihad organization, holding a position in it and providing services for it;

Offenses of contact with a foreign agent, impersonating another, disrupting investigative processes and interfering with a soldier in the performance of his duty.

At the beginning of this month, the security forces captured two wanted men in Jenin: the head of the Islamic Jihad in Samaria, Bassam al-Saadi, and our close aide Ashraf Zidan Molmad Al-Jada.

After his arrest, the Islamic Jihad threatened to fire anti-tank missiles at vehicles in Israeli territory, which led to a curfew in the settlements in the Gaza Strip. A few days later, Operation "Dawn" began, in which the IDF attacked the Gaza Strip for three days.

The 61-year-old Rahman al-Saadi was imprisoned seven times for his involvement in vigorous terrorist activity over the years.

As mentioned, he serves as the head of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization in Samaria, is among the top GAP leadership and is seen as the supreme authority of the movement in the IOS.

Recently, he worked even harder to restore the activities of the GAP, as part of which he was behind the building of a significant military force of the organization in Samaria in general and in Jenin in particular, and his presence was a significant factor in the radicalization of the organization's operatives in the field.

Bassam al-Saadi was arrested by special forces while staying at his home with his family, after being declared wanted for a period of time.

Arrested together with him was Ashraf Zidan Molmad Al-Jada, 37 years old from Burkin, a former GAP prisoner, who serves as Bassam al-Saadi's close aide.
