The Tunisian Electoral Commission announced this evening the acceptance of the constitutional amendment as a result of the popular referendum that took place in the country on the 25th of last July.
The Tunisian News Agency quoted the commission as saying: The majority of Tunisians supported the amendments to the constitution.
The final results of the referendum led to the approval of 94.6 percent of the participants in the referendum, noting that the new constitution will enter into force from today, the date of the final announcement of the result of the referendum, after the ratification of it by Tunisian President Kais Saied.
