Twenty people were killed and six others injured when a passenger bus collided with an oil tanker in the eastern province of Punjab, Pakistan.
The accident occurred on the highway today in Jalalpur-Beruwala district, when a passenger bus carrying 26 people was heading from Lahore, the capital of Punjab, to the southern port city of Karachi, where it collided with an oil tank, which led to the outbreak of fire in the two vehicles, killing 18 passengers, Xinhua News Agency quoted local sources as saying. Immediately their bodies were recovered, while eight other people were injured, two of whom died in hospital.
