Intense rains and powerful thunderstorms are expected from this Tuesday at the end of the day, in the south-east of the country, notes the Weather Channel in its daily press release.
These rainy and stormy events, correlated with a slowly evolving depression between the Bay of Biscay and the Mediterranean, should last until Wednesday evening.
On the Mediterranean side, storms are likely to be violent because of the high water temperature.
Thus, the Weather Channel placed six departments on orange alert:
Aude
,
Aveyron
,
Gard
,
Hérault
,
Lozère
and
Tarn
.
Several departments are experiencing a significant risk of thunderstorms: Allier, Ardèche, Ariège, Bouches-du-Rhône, Cantal, Corrèze, Creuse, Haute-Garonne, Loire, Haute-Loire , Lot, Puy-de-Dôme, Pyrénées-Orientales and Tarn-et-Garonne.
