The six athletes are currently supported by the Hong Kong Sports Institute and will be enrolled in the Sports and Recreation Management programme of the Department of Physical Education and Health at HKBU.

The "Elite Athlete Admission Scheme" was established by HKBU in 2016 to provide flexible study arrangements for full-time athletes in Hong Kong.
