Parents of children with special needs, on the other hand, will not find games and aids that will suit their children in any typical store, so many of them are forced to specially order them from abroad.
This led to the fact that Sharon and Shagy Arbel, parents of two children on the autistic spectrum and another child with complex learning disabilities, decided to open for the first time in Israel "D-Store", a dedicated store precisely for this purpose.
They told "Le Israel Hayom" that they decided to open the store, which is located on Maccabi Street 2 in the Bezalel complex in Tel Aviv, with the goal of it being a "unifying home" for products for children and adults that they have experienced themselves, for special games and solutions for everyday life.

"We decided to establish the business out of our need," they say.
"There are all kinds of products that we used to buy quite scattered in all kinds of places. For years we ran a kindergarten, and suddenly things came together and we realized that a store like this was something that was missing. We started with things we bought that were good for us, and later everything we ordered went through the children - which received their approval I entered the store. We ordered many products, and slowly we built the content of the store, which includes a lot of games because everything should be fun and with an experience. From the experiential point, you can introduce training on certain skills and all through fun."

In the store, they offer a variety of products to their customers, including products for sensory regulation, games for skill development, activity games and aids for releasing energy, products to aid learning, books, safety accessories and many other special products that facilitate the daily activities of those who use them.
Regarding the prices, they say that they cannot always lower the price of the products they sell.
"We import most of the products, and the prices are accessible and in the low range of what we can afford," they said.

According to Arbel, the range of products is suitable both for children with very sensitive sensory regulation and for those with hyposensitivity.
"We have teethers that are suitable for those with difficulty in regulating oral senses, and this provides them with the solution," she says.
"There are games that work on improving balance and fine motor skills, and those that help those with learning difficulties and those with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. There are even board games produced in Israel that are intended for the topic of sharing feelings and experiences, and there are games for speech therapists that are simply great for improving basic language."
She also said that it was very important to her and her husband that all the games in the stores be open and accessible, so that the children can experience the products themselves.
"With us, there is no such thing as not touching, we encourage experimentation. This way you can see what the child is attracted to. There are, for example, special silicone laces that are suitable for children with motor problems, those who need a lot of training, and this gives them a solution. We also sell a punching bag that is attached to the floor, and it Excellent for stress relief."
According to the couple, they get many ideas from their customers, who, just like them, encounter quite a few difficulties in their day-to-day lives.
"We are testing a solution to the situation where children are unable to touch the water, which makes the showers a nightmare," they say, and promise that just like many of their other products, they will look into the issue in depth to try to make it easier for more children.
