Leaving Strasbourg early this morning, the man of the Church in his forties is preparing to join his family for a few days of vacation.

I need it, I'm very tired
," whispers the chaplain of several retirement homes in eastern France.

Everyone needs a vacation, there's no reason for priests to escape it
,” he adds in an amused tone.

On the seventh day God finished the work he had done.
He rested and blessed that day
” (Genesis 2:2).
For Father Didier, after a year of service, it is now time to rest, surrounded by his two sisters, their husbands and their children.
On the program: board games, bike rides, good meals and reading.

Not to mention the mass
,” he insists.
