Not everyone is enthusiastic about the European Championships in Munich.
Some motorists are annoyed that they were towed away because of the major event.
Munich - The European Championships in Munich inspire - the rush is large.
But the major event does not only trigger amusement.
On the contrary: in some places, the side effects cause resentment.
At the weekend, many streets in the city center were completely closed for bike races and marathons.
Blocking because of EC: Some residents in Munich are literally encircled
As a result, some residents in Lehel could not get out of the city on Monday morning, they were literally surrounded by the closures.
There was only scant information in advance, some complain.
For others there was a rude awakening because the parked car was suddenly towed away.
At least Tibor Blasy was lucky enough to save his car from this fate.
He had parked on the Theresienwiese on Saturday evening.
From 8 p.m. there was a ban on parking here, because on Sunday the cyclists raced through the city.
For Blasy and over 40 other drivers, that was not apparent there.
"The signs were too far apart and some were almost covered," criticizes Blasy.
Now you can see them better.
According to the police, a total of 145 cars were towed away.
