Today, 846 outstanding students from the Basic Education Certificate in the 2022 session took the first admission test for the National Center for Excellence, in the designated centers identified by the education directorates in the governorates.
The test, which was held in cooperation and coordination between the Excellence and Creativity Authority and the Ministry of Education, included questions and automated questions in logical mathematical thinking within the specializations of mathematics, general sciences, physics, chemistry and biology, under the supervision of the Central Scientific Committee of the Authority.
According to a statement by the authority, which SANA received a copy of today, the successful candidates in this test qualify for the second admission test, which includes a personal interview to assess the abilities and personal characteristics of the applicants and those who succeed with its result qualify for the third admission test later.
The authority indicated that the National Center for the Distinguished is preparing today, after returning from its temporary headquarters in Lattakia, to its main headquarters in Homs, to host the 14th batch of outstanding students of the Basic Education Certificate for internal study for a period of 3 years, starting from the new academic year 2022-2023.
The education directorates in the governorates affirmed that they have taken all measures and preparations to conduct the test, ensure a calm and educational atmosphere for students and achieve the principle of justice and equal opportunities among them, as the center is an important educational edifice for the care of the gifted, providing them with a social, educational and educational environment that enables them in the future to be able to work in the field of scientific research and to Dealing with all areas of life.
The National Center for the Distinguished was created by Legislative Decree No. 45 of 2008, and the duration of study is three years, as it adopts a different method of teaching through advanced curricula and enrichment programs that are constantly developed, in addition to teaching foreign languages to enable the student to master them as a tool for learning about scientific and technical developments and motivating students. To express their talents and creativity.
During their studies at the center, students receive a monthly financial compensation, and the center provides boarding accommodation for all its students free of charge, in addition to other life and health services.
