The axes of the intellectual meeting held by the Revolutionary Youth Union branch in Al-Hasakah centered on the importance of the role of youth in the local council elections.
During the meeting, which was held in the governorate council hall today, Al-Hasakah Governor Dr. Louay Sayouh reviewed the local administration law, its application and the stages of its issuance, the importance of engaging young people and knowing their real role to advance reality with the aim of achieving social, economic, cultural and intellectual development, improving the service reality, conveying the concerns and problems of the administrative unit and achieving administrative independence.
Sayoh called for the necessity of youth participation in these elections and investing their energies in them through candidacy and active participation to develop a state of awareness in society of its importance as it is the only way to advance and improve reality.
For his part, the head of the Judicial Subcommittee, Judge Abdul Aziz Al-Mohammed, presented the candidacy mechanism and its stages, noting the turnout for candidacy, which reflected a state of societal awareness of the importance of participation.
The participants' proposals focused on increasing the percentage of youth representation in local councils and focusing on the process of rehabilitation and training for them to take their real role in local councils.
The meeting was attended by Eng. Turki Aziz Hassan, Secretary of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party branch in Hasaka, a number of members of the branch leadership and the provincial police chief.
