The Anti-Narcotics Branch in Damascus arrested a number of drug dealers and confiscated quantities of them they had in their possession.
The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement that SANA received a copy of that, as part of the continuous follow-up, the Anti-Narcotics Branch in Damascus arrested a drug dealer while he was transporting 30 kilograms of hashish from Madaya in Damascus countryside.
The ministry indicated that the quantity found with the arrested person was confiscated, who, during interrogation, confessed to possessing, distributing and trafficking narcotic substances.
In the same context, after receiving information to the branch about a person transporting a quantity of narcotics from a town in the countryside of Damascus in order to promote it, two people were arrested in the town of Sednaya in the countryside of Damascus through surveillance and in a tight ambush. The ministry pointed out that by searching the car, a bag was found containing 15 grams of cocaine and 18 kilograms of hashish, noting that during the investigation, the two arrested confessed to possessing and distributing narcotic substances, and the car was seized and those materials were confiscated.
The ministry confirmed that investigations are still ongoing with the arrested to reveal all those involved in the case to take the necessary measures against them.
