As-Suwayda - Sana
The Public Establishment for Drinking Water in As-Suwayda Governorate received 240 tons of water sterilization materials provided by the International Committee of the Red Cross through the Syrian Arab Red Crescent.
The head of the purification plants department in the Public Establishment for Drinking Water in Sweida, Eng. Raja Masoud, stated in a statement to SANA reporter today that the received quantities were distributed by 150 tons of aluminum sulfate and 90 tons of chlorine, to be distributed, respectively, to the water purification plants of the Rum, Habran and Al-Mashnaf dams according to the needs of each A station with a temporary suspension of work at the Jabal Al-Arab Dam station due to the depletion of its water stock.
Engineer Masoud pointed out that water samples are taken periodically from the stations to ensure the level and quality of sterilized materials in them, whether through the field laboratories in the stations or the main laboratory of the Corporation, pointing to the Corporation's keenness to pump clean and sterilized water to all participants.
Last year, the Public Institution for Drinking Water in As-Suwayda received 325 tons of aluminum sulfate, 120 tons of lime, and 211 tons of chlorine from the International Committee of the Red Cross.
