Due to the holiday season and nice weather, the team from the Walchensee water rescue service had to complete a few assignments over the past holiday weekend.
They were also able to do two further training courses themselves.
Walchensee – As Lisa Grünwald reported on a courier request, there were two serious bicycle accidents by holidaymakers on both Friday and Sunday.
They were the only ones who fell and suffered moderate injuries.
The rescue helicopter was also requested.
Both vacationers were taken to the hospital.
On Friday, another broken catamaran was towed away and two kite surfers needed help in the water.
Here, too, the volunteers were quickly on site and able to help.
In addition, the water rescue service had to issue warnings to other people for not observing nature conservation rules on the lake, reports Grünwald.

At the weekend, bathers with minor wounds, caused for example by sharp-edged stones in the shore area, had to be helped.
"Not everyone spoke German, we had to translate using the Internet," says Grünwald.
On Saturday evening, the volunteers provided first aid for an internal emergency in an inn.
Further training with water sports enthusiasts from the region
In addition, the volunteers completed further training in cooperation with local athletes.
André Wacke from "Sunnawind" from Penzberg showed details of the new trend sport, wing surfing, and capsizing training was carried out together with the Segelfreunde Walchensee.
“Both sides were able to learn a lot from each other.
Hand in hand on the water,” says Grünwald happily.
