Schleswig-Holstein wants to reduce the Corona emergency loan of 5.5 billion euros decided by the state parliament by 2.1 billion.
"In view of the current development of tax revenues, I think an adjustment of the Corona emergency loan is necessary," said Finance Minister Monika Heinold (Greens) on Wednesday.
The reason for this is the country's high tax revenues.
Kiel - According to Heinold's will, the state parliament should already decide this in August.
Parliament approved the emergency loan for the next 2020.
In April, the state parliament converted 400 million euros into an emergency loan to deal with the consequences of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine.
Because the country had previously reduced the amount by 355 million euros, the emergency loan should only amount to 3.045 billion euros in the future.
