Vladimir Popkov, deputy speaker of the Crimean Parliament, described the new statement of the Kyiv authorities about plans to destroy the Crimean bridge as delusional.
And the Russia Today website quoted the Russian parliamentarian as saying, “The making of such statements against the backdrop of the defeats of the Ukrainian army is dictated by the desire to attract more money and weapons from the West, by exaggerating and falsely exaggerating the capabilities of the Ukrainian forces. Not the first time, nor the last, of this imaginary nonsense.”
Popkov stressed that the relevant Russian bodies and institutions pay special attention to the issue of the protection of the Crimean peninsula. I am very sure no one wants to test its durability.”
Earlier, Ukrainian Chancellor Mikhail Podolyak announced in an interview with the British newspaper The Guardian that the Crimean bridge should be destroyed, but he did not specify how the Ukrainian army would be allowed to carry out this task.
