A woman is said to have killed her 82-year-old mother.

Aschaffenburg –

On Monday morning (August 15), family members found the 82-year-old elderly woman dead in her apartment in Elsenfeld (Miltenberg district).

The daughter was also there, but not responsive, as the police headquarters in Lower Franconia and the Aschaffenburg public prosecutor announced on Tuesday.

The family immediately alerted the emergency services and the police.

Manslaughter in Aschaffenburg?

Daughter is in custody

After initial investigations, the officials assume that the "apparently mentally significantly stressed daughter" could be responsible for the death of the 82-year-old.

Then she is said to have tried to take her own life, she was injured and taken to a hospital.

What exactly happened in the apartment is not yet clear.

The family background is still unclear.

Both are the subject of ongoing investigations, the statement said.
