A ship crashed into a bridge on the Dortmund-Ems Canal and was badly damaged.
The accident happened on Tuesday near Rheine.
Rheine – In Rheine (NRW) on Tuesday (August 16) a goods motor vessel crashed into a bridge on the Dortmund-Ems Canal.
According to the responsible water police from Duisburg, the ship with the wheelhouse hit the Schürweg bridge in Rheine, reports 24RHEIN.

The 28-year-old skipper was lucky in misfortune.
He was only slightly injured and was able to leave the hospital after outpatient treatment.
The goods motor ship got it much worse.
"There was considerable material damage to the ship - the journey could not be continued," said the police.
Already on August 4th, at that time near Münster, there had been an accident on the Dortmund-Ems canal.
A motor tanker collided with a rowing boat.
