The chief military defense attorney Col. Ofira Alkabatz-Rotstein addressed a letter today (Wednesday) to the Israel Defense Forces and the Kafir Brigade, demanding that the investigation of the soldier who accidentally shot and killed Sergeant Natan Fitousi yesterday at the Seam Line be stopped.
The letter claims that the fighter went through long hours of non-stop interrogation, despite the difficult mental condition in which he is kept.
It is also claimed that the investigators prevent the fighter from talking to his defense attorneys on the phone.
As recalled, from the initial investigation, the soldier was accidentally shot by his teammate, after he left the joint position and returned to it, then he was shot with two bullets - one in his leg, and one fatal in his chest.
He was taken to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba in critical condition to receive medical treatment, but the medical staff had to pronounce him dead.
The circumstances of the incident are still being investigated, but it can be said with certainty that it is not a malicious incident.
