Scenes from the life of the famous musician Elvis Presley flickered across the screen at the cinema summer.

Numerous Elvis fans had made themselves comfortable on the loungers and folding chairs in the Stadtsaal courtyard.

Some were in the Fürstenfeld open-air cinema for the first time - for others the visit is a must.

Fürstenfeldbruck

– A special highlight of this year's cinema summer was the film about the music legend Elvis Presley.

The biography of the life of the King of Rock'n'Roll, as he was and is often called, attracted many visitors to the Stadtsaalhof.

Marina Köber and Maximilian Schusser from Mammendorf were at the summer cinema in Fürstenfeld for the first time.

"I'm a big fan of drive-in cinemas and thought that such an open-air event would be very similar," said Marina Köber.

Elvis fan Maximilian was there mainly because of the film music.

The 19-year-old enjoys listening to the icon's music in his free time.

The two made themselves comfortable with drinks on the green lounge chairs in the front row.

Skipped school on the anniversary of Elvis' death

The visitors Herbert and Eva Hörnlein as well as Peter Schiele also have various Elvis anecdotes.

Herbert Hörnlein remembers Elvis' death in 1977 only too well. He skipped school that day because he and his father were too sad.

The two were die-hard Elvis fans.

"I kind of grew up with him.

For as long as I can remember, my dad's radio has been playing Elvis music up and down.

First thing I heard in the morning.

was a song by Elvis,” remembers Herbert Hörnlein.

Together with his wife Eva, he has made himself comfortable in the chairs, equipped with Aperol, cellar beer and peanuts.

Brucker DJ remembers the Elvis days

The companion of the Hörnleins, Peter Schiele, is also a true Elvis Presley fan.

The former Edibar DJ in Fürstenfeldbruck remembers the Elvis days only too well.

"When the younger generation had to leave the bar at 11 p.m., I always played Elvis for the older ones," Schiele said.

But even so, he still enjoys listening to his music.

"There were always a lot of rock 'n' roll dancers in the bar. There was a lot going on there," he said.

A few rows down was another cinema trio: Charlotte and Manfred Hofmann were visiting the open-air cinema with Helga Krutsch.

The film was recommended to Charlotte Hofmann by her sister, which is why she took her two companions with her.

The three try to go to the summer cinema every year.

“You just have to take advantage of an offer like this.

Especially in such a beautiful environment.

That doesn't happen often," enthused Manfred Hofmann.

Elisabeth Rummel, who was visiting with her daughter, was enthusiastic about the film after the screening and fascinated by the story.

"I've never really delved into the life of Elvis Presley," she said.

The film, which was released in May, tells the story of Elvis Presley, played by Austin Butler, from the perspective of his manager and companion Tom Parker.

Director Baz Luhrmann takes viewers through Elvis' entire life up to his death.

Numerous musical elements always kept the excitement and the mood of the visitors of the summer cinema high.

The demonstration lasted almost three hours.

There was a break for the spectators in between.

The cinema summer runs until Saturday, August 20th.
