An explosion occurred inside a mosque during evening prayers in Kabul, Afghanistan, on Wednesday, a spokesman for the city's police chief said.
Spokesman Khalid Zadran told CNN that the blast caused casualties, but did not specify further.

The incident occurred in the city's 17th police district and security forces are on the scene investigating, it added.
The health organization Emergency said on Twitter that its Kabul hospital had received 27 people after the blast, including five children.
