District – The council bodies in Gmund, Kreuth and Tegernsee made decisions on the subject of childcare in their most recent meetings.

In the municipalities of Gmund and Kreuth as well as in the city of Tegernsee, topics related to childcare were recently discussed.

At one point, parents will soon have to pay more.

The first issue in Gmund was the fees for lunchtime meals in the Pius-Kinderhaus and the Zwergenburg crèche as well as lunchtime care from September 2022. Lunch for the Pius-Kinderhaus has been delivered by the fresh kitchen in Holzkirchen since September 1st, 2016.

On May 16, 2017, the municipal councils also decided that school lunchtime care would also be supplied by the company in the future.

Wallberg retirement home supplies daycare

"In a letter dated June 21, the municipality was informed that due to the current situation, a price adjustment as of September 1 is necessary," explained treasurer Georg Dorn.

"The acquisition of the raw materials to be processed, the increased fuel prices and the general cost structure for water and energy required a recalculation of the menu prices." This was last done on September 1, 2021.

It is planned to increase the menu prices in the Pius-Kinderhaus in age group 1 by 35 cents per meal to 4.25 euros and in age group 2, as well as in school by 45 cents per meal to 4.95 euros.

The treasurer reported that higher prices had already been announced for the Zwergenburg crèche, which is supplied by the Wallberg retirement home, by 60 cents to EUR 3.60 per meal.

The councilors unanimously voted in favor of it without discussion.

New daycare center behind the Christ Church

In Tegernsee, the building, transport and environmental committee then dealt with the application for the construction of a new kindergarten from prefabricated containers at Hochfeldstraße 27. It is an institution of the Evangelical-Lutheran parish of Tegernsee, Rottach-Egern and Kreuth.

Since this has far more registrations than current capacities, this should help.

A day-care center group is to be accommodated in the 15 by six meter container solution, which is a little over three meters high.

The new building will be built at the parish office or behind the Christ Church.

There was no extensive discussion on the new construction of the kindergarten from prefabricated containers at the meeting of the building, transport and environmental committee.

However, a few thoughts and suggestions on the project.

So Andreas Obermüller (FWG) asked how long this container solution would last.

This will be approved for four years, explained Bettina Koch, head of the building authority, but you can also limit its use.

For example, the Tegernsee volunteer fire brigade can use their interim building on the grounds of the elementary school for three years.

The new shed opposite must be ready for use by then.

Container like the Realschule in Gmund

Rudolf Gritsch (CSU) found this point good: "Perhaps one can formulate it in such a way that the building permit is issued for two years?" he asked.

Other members of the eight-member committee also supported this.

It was also important to Günter Allerstorfer (CSU) that parents do not have to worry about the container solution.

At the secondary school in Gmund, this was the ideal solution to bridge the time until the new building was built, he noted.

Modern containers are in no way inferior to a building.

The members of the committee saw it too: the decision was ultimately unanimous in favor of the container solution in order to bridge the bottleneck.

Emmaus Church becomes a crèche

In the building and environment committee of the municipality of Kreuth, on the other hand, an application for the planned crèche in the Evangelical Emmaus Church certainly caused a need for discussion.

The challenge is to reconcile the local church building and the extension.

Various drafts and variants had already been determined in advance – over 20 in number, explained Mayor Josef Bierschneider.

Above all, the roof caused discord.

Among other things, a decision had to be made between a pent roof and a flat roof.

Now a solution seems to have been found with which everyone involved is and can be largely satisfied.

In the end, the extension will be built below the church tower with a pent roof, explained Andreas Schwinghammer, head of the building authority.

The mayor added that the planner based the roof overhangs on the church roof.

"It is important that the church building continues to show its worth," said Josef Bierschneider.

"It works best with a pent roof."

Photovoltaic system planned for day care center

A few questions arose for the committee members.

Michael Unger (FWG) wanted to know whether a green roof was possible despite the pitch of the roof.

That would only work with a flat roof, said the mayor.

Another topic these days: photovoltaics.

There is nothing to be said against it, explained Josef Bierschneider.

Martin Walch (SPD) was also satisfied with the result.

"We put a lot of thought into the construction," he said.

"I think we can declare our understanding." For him, the extension is fine as it is now planned.

"If there is a photovoltaic system on the roof, all the better," he explained, "but we can't force him to do it either."

Concerns about the appearance of the daycare extension

The mayor agreed.

A photovoltaic system makes sense at this point, since the crèche needs energy during the day.

In addition, this also shades the building and cools it down in the heat, added Matthias Erhardt (Greens).

If the electricity is not needed, it can be made available elsewhere.

Ulrike Rohnbogner (CSU) had major concerns about the optics.

"I know the select committee approved the design that way, but I still think it doesn't make the pent roof any nicer," she said.

"There could have been better solutions."

In addition, the view over the Catholic parish church of St. Leonhard and the Protestant Emmaus Church up to the Leonhardstein is what makes Kreuth special.

In this respect, she found it a pity that the cultivation clouded the optics from now on.

Nevertheless, she stands behind the project, she emphasized: "It's a great thing that the Evangelical Church as the sponsor is supporting us and helping to realize the project."

In the end, Ulrike Rohnbogner, like her colleagues in the nine-member building and environmental committee, voted in favor of the extension to expand the Emmaus church to include the crèche, despite numerous deviations from the design specifications that are customary in Kreuth.

Twelve children are to be accommodated there.

Four car parking spaces are also planned, as Mayor Josef Bierschneider finally explained.
