At a press conference alongside Chancellor Schulz in Germany, Palestinian Authority Chairman Abu Mazen claimed that "Israel has committed 50 holocausts in the Palestinians over the years."
Following Abu Mazen's words, an uproar arose from members of the government, against the background of Defense Minister Benny Gantz's meeting with Abu Mazen at his home in Rosh Ha'Ain.
"He must not be given legitimacy and certainly not invited to Rosh Ha'Ain," tweeted Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked.
Abu Mazen fights IDF soldiers in The Hague, and denies the Holocaust in Germany.

Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman said that "Abu Mazen is a Holocaust denier and a staunch enemy of the State of Israel. Abu Mazen, who did his doctorate in Moscow on the subject of Holocaust denial, who submits complaints to the Hague Criminal Court and accuses IDF soldiers of war crimes and crimes against humanity, and Abu Mazen Mazen, who yesterday refused to condemn the massacre at the Munich Olympics and the murder of the athletes 50 years ago - is a terrorist who engages in political terrorism and is therefore more dangerous than all the terrorist operatives of Hamas or Islamic Jihad.
"I call on the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense to stop giving him legitimacy, to meet and talk with him. There is no reason to be moved by his threats to stop security coordination, because even Abu Mazen knows that security coordination is important to him, no less than Israel, and if the man remains alive to this day and is not eliminated by competing terrorist organizations, this is solely thanks to the security coordination between the Palestinian security mechanisms and the Israeli security system."
MK Zvi Hauser from Tikva Hadada said that "in Berlin he denies the Holocaust.
In The Hague - he harms the soldiers of the army.
Rosh Ha-Ein - he sits down for coffee with Gantz."

As mentioned, during his visit to Germany, Abu Mazen was asked if he was ready to apologize for the massacre of the Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics, carried out by the Palestinian terrorist organization "Black September".
He refused, and instead referred in his answer to the "massacres in Kfar Qasim and Tantura" and what he defined as "50 holocausts that Israel has committed in the Palestinians in 50 years".
The chairman of the authority also made a false claim that Israel recognized the Tantura massacre, and in addition repeated the claim that Israel is an "apartheid state".

As I recall, since the government was formed, Gantz met with Abu Mazen several times, once at his home in Rosh Ha'Ain.
After their joint meeting Gantz was criticized by members of the opposition, this time the criticism comes from home.
