The General Director of the General Company for Iron and Steel Products in Hama, Engineer Abdel Nasser Mishaan, revealed that the company's sales of billet, since the company's re-launch last May until the middle of this month, amounted to 2,922 tons, with a total value of 9 billion and 972 million pounds.

In a statement to SANA reporter, Mishaan indicated that the company's production during that period amounted to 5,967 tons of billet, which is the raw material for iron production, indicating that the company stopped production for several periods this year for various reasons, but it resumed its work recently thanks to the efforts of its workers and their high expertise and the increase in the company's allocations. From fuel to five requests per month instead of three.

Mishaan pointed out that the company's engineering and technical cadres carried out this year comprehensive maintenance work for the smelting plant in order to improve the quality and efficiency of production in it, as it is considered a mainstay for the rolling mills with billet, noting that the company distributed a portion of its profits to all its employees to motivate them to continue work, production and development of the company. to the best.

It is noteworthy that the sales of Hama Steel Company last year exceeded 70 billion pounds, while its profits amounted to 25 billion pounds.
