(ANSA) - BIELLA, 17 AUG - Homicide-suicide in Strona, a small town in eastern Biella, in Piedmont.
A 58-year-old man - according to the reconstruction made by the carabinieri - killed his 79-year-old mother in the apartment the two shared.
Then, leaving the house, he headed for the Pistolesa bridge, in Veglio (BIella), throwing himself into the void.
To give the alarm some passersby who noticed the man's car parked right next to the bridge, notorious for several suicides.
When the carabinieri went to the victim's house, they found his mother dead.
The causes of the tragedy are not yet known.
