Tehran-Sana

The Iranian Ministry of Security announced today the arrest of one of the most dangerous terrorists known for his cross-border activities, indicating that he was a member of the terrorist organizations in Syria and had previously carried out criminal acts in a number of Syrian cities.

The IRNA news agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement: The forces affiliated with it were able, after careful monitoring and tracking, to arrest one of the most dangerous terrorists in light of his track record of cross-border terrorist operations.

The statement added: The result of the intelligence monitoring over many years of the movements of this element reveals the operations it carried out in four regional countries at the height of the crisis in Syria.

The statement pointed out that this element was a member of the takfiri terrorist groups active in Syria and carried out criminal and evil acts in the cities of Aleppo, Hama and Idlib.

The Iranian Ministry of Security indicated that this element of the transnational terrorist network, who was also an expert in heavy weapons, was forced, after the defeats incurred by the terrorists in Syria, to transfer the focus of his terrorist activities to two countries neighboring the Islamic Republic of Iran to continue his sabotage movements against the Iranian people.

Last month, the Iranian Ministry of Security announced the arrest of 10 members of a terrorist cell affiliated with separatists in northwest Iran.
