Iraqi forces launch a security operation in the center of the country

The joint Iraqi forces launched today a security operation to pursue ISIS terrorists in the east of Baiji district, Salah al-Din governorate in the center of the country.

Alsumaria News quoted the Popular Mobilization Authority as saying in a statement today: "A force from the Popular Mobilization, the police and the security forces started a joint security operation to search and secure the Al-Baiji and Al-Hawi areas adjacent to the Tigris River, east of Baiji District."

The statement added: "The operation includes searching these areas and clearing them of terrorist remnants in order to secure them completely."

The Iraqi forces are continuing their security operations in several areas to purge them of ISIS terrorists.
