Joint talks between the Ministry of Industry and Al-Ashtar Technical University of Iran to enhance cooperation in the industrial field

Minister of Industry Ziyad Sabbagh discussed with Dr. Qassem Taqizadeh, President of Iran's Malek Al-Ashtar University of Technology, and his accompanying delegation, ways to enhance relations of joint cooperation in the industrial field.

During the meeting, which took place at the Ministry of Industry building, Minister Sabbagh praised Iran's positions and leadership in support of Syria, noting the joint efforts of the two countries in confronting the terrorist and economic war that Syria is exposed to and the joint work to develop and sustain relations more closely.

In turn, Dr. Taqizadeh affirmed his country's continued full support for Syria in various fields, especially in the industrial sector, which is considered the most important link in facing the economic war.

Taqizadeh gave a presentation on the areas of joint cooperation and their activation between the two countries as joint industrial projects in the field of petrochemicals, industrial automation, iron and steel plates, establishing and developing production lines and laboratories, and applying quality management systems and standard specifications.

During the meeting, they discussed the framing of joint cooperation within specific programs for each industrial sector, the settlement of some industries in Syria, such as technological industries, the possibility of providing scholarships for graduates of the technical institutes affiliated with the ministry, and the rehabilitation of laboratories affiliated with these institutes.

During the meeting, it was agreed to name points of contact between the ministry, Malek Al-Ashtar University, and the Iranian embassy in Damascus, to identify needs and priorities and put them into practice.

The meeting was attended by a number of employees of the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Malik Al-Ashtar University, a number of directors of industrial establishments and centers affiliated with the ministry and directors of the central administration.
