Mali called on the UN Security Council to hold an emergency meeting to put an end to the French aggressive actions that are violating its sovereignty and supporting terrorist groups on its territory.
AFP reported that Malian Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Diop sent a letter to the Chinese presidency of the Security Council in which he stressed that Mali reserves its right to self-defense in accordance with the United Nations Charter if France continues its aggressive practices.
In his letter, Diop denounced the repeated violations of the financial airspace by the French forces and the flights of French planes that carry out espionage activities and attempts to intimidate.
He added: The Malian authorities have several evidence that these flagrant violations of the financial airspace were used by France to collect intelligence information for the benefit of terrorist groups operating in the African Sahel region and to drop weapons and ammunition to them.
Diop called on the Security Council to work for France to immediately stop its aggressive actions and to hold an emergency meeting to discuss this issue.
Yesterday, the French forces announced the departure of the last of their soldiers from Mali, after nine years of intervention in this country, rich in its mystical wealth, under the pretext of fighting terrorism.
