Mushawah discusses with the Chargé d'Affairs of the Republic of Chile ways to develop cultural cooperation

Developing cultural relations in all fields for the benefit of the two friendly peoples was the focus of the meeting of the Minister of Culture, Dr. Labana Mushauh, with the Chargé d'Affairs of the Chilean Republic, Patricio Brickle, today at the ministry building in Damascus.

The two sides discussed, according to the official page of the ministry, the possibility of translating a set of Chilean books into Arabic within the national plan for translation launched by the Ministry of Culture and facilitating the acquisition of translation and publishing rights by the Chilean side.

The two sides also discussed the possibility of holding an exhibition of photographs in the museums of Damascus and Aleppo, taken by Chilean professors and engineers during their earlier visit to Syria, through which they documented Syrian antiquities, civilization and nature.

The Minister of Culture was briefed by the Chargé d'Affairs about the program of activities held by the Chilean Embassy in Syria and the preparations for holding a book and photo exhibition about the Chilean poet and diplomat Gabriela Mistral, which will be held in Deir Maaloula at the end of this month.
