The hypothesis that was found at the scene of Tair Rada's murder, and it was found that there is a certain genetic match between her and Adir Havani, is rarer than what was thought until now - this was announced today (Wednesday) upon completion of the examination of reference samples that were handed over to Dr. Nurit Bobalil, director of the laboratories at the National Center for Forensic Medicine As

was published a month ago in Vala, in a mitochondrial DNA test, performed by Bobalil on the hairs found at the scene of the Tair Rada murder, a hair was found that may match Adir Khabani, the ex-partner of Ola Kravchenko. According to Khabani's version, which was given six years after the murder, Kravitz Neko confessed to him that she was the one who murdered Rada while her body was wearing Havni's clothes. Karavchenko denies his words and Supreme Court Judge Hanno Meltzer also rejected them.

In the hands of Dr. Doron Behar, an expert in genetic testing and a witness on behalf of the defense in the Zadorov trial, there is a large database of genetic samples. In the past, a partial match was found between nine of those samples and Khabani's DNA.

Now, following tests of full mitochondrial sequencing, it has been found that six surviving samples out of those nine samples, differ from the genetic profile of the hair, which may be suitable for Habani.

This finding indicates that the same hair found at the murder scene, which may match Habani's DNA, has a lower frequency than previously thought, which means that the genetic profiles of Habani and the hair found at the murder scene are rarer than previously determined prevalence.

Tair Rada was murdered in a toilet cubicle at the Nofi Golan school in Katsrin on December 6, 2006. Almost three years later, the District Court in Nazareth convicted Roman Zdorov, a foreign citizen and resident of Katsrin, of the girl's murder.

The verdict was based on a dense web of evidence that led to his conviction.

However, since then the case has continued to occupy the media and public opinion, and despite the decisive verdict - the judicial system returned to discuss it several more times and leave the conviction intact.

Zadorov, who worked on flooring at Rada's school, was arrested a few days after the murder, confessed to the murder and even returned it.

Then he retracted his confession, and as the trial continued, the defense succeeded in raising doubts among the public that Zdorov was indeed the murderer.

Last summer, Chief Justice Melzer ruled that he should have a retrial.
