New Zealand: A suitcase bought at auction contained human remains
The family bought a container full of goods at an auction.
However, when the goods arrived at their home, human remains were found in one of the suitcases they bought.
A neighbor, who worked at the crematorium, said that he recognized the smell of her body: "I immediately knew what the smell was, but I didn't understand where it was coming from."

A family from South Auckland in New Zealand reported yesterday (Monday) to the police that they found parts of a human body in a suitcase purchased at an auction.
The members of the family bought a full container of goods at a sale that was not checked before the purchase, and when they unpacked it in their house, parts of her body were found.
Neighbors told the police that the house gave off a terrible smell, which some identified as the smell of a corpse.
The family members were present on Thursday at an auction at a storage facility, and purchased a container that also contained used luggage.
Because in auctions of this type it is not customary to check the items before they are purchased, the presence of a body in one of the suitcases was not discovered.

Some of the neighbors said that before the police arrived, a terrible smell wafted from the house.
One of the neighbors, who used to work at the crematorium, said that he immediately recognized that it was the smell of a human corpse.
"I immediately knew what the smell was, and I thought, 'Where is it coming from?'" said the neighbor.
Police officials said that their first priority now is to identify the body, to "determine the full circumstances that led to her death."
