Change of moderators at "Hard but fair".
Frank Plasberg is no longer involved in the ARD talk.
Cologne – One of the best-known German political talk shows is reorganizing itself.
After 22 years, Frank Plasberg is retiring as moderator of the ARD talk "Hart aber fair".
His successor will be Louis Klamroth, son of the actor Peter Lohmeyer.
As the WDR announced on Wednesday afternoon, the change of moderator is planned for the end of November 2022.
The 65-year-old Plasberg explained in a press release that it was about the "further development" of the show.
"And now is the right time for that." Plasberg welcomed the viewers to almost 750 programs.
"How lucky I am to have been able to present 'tough but fair' for over 20 years.
For this I owe a big thank you to the ARD and my home broadcaster WDR, a great team and of course the many guests, without whose willingness to argue hard but fairly the show would not have been possible.”
Plasberg wants to be there “as a spectator” in the future.
