The succession battles in the Palestinian Authority are heating up, and it seems that these do not hold any moments of comfort for the Chairman of the Palestinian Authority, Abu Mazen, who continues to tangle with senior officials within the Fatah movement and accumulate political enemies.

A senior Fatah official, Nasser Al-Kadwa, the nephew of Yasser Arafat and who served as the Palestinian ambassador to the United Nations for almost 20 years, harshly attacks the leadership of the Palestinian Authority and its head in an interview with Israel Hayom.

The bad blood that flows between the two leaders is related to Abu Mazen's decision to remove Alkadawa from the ranks of the Fatah movement, after the latter established an independent list from the unified list of the Fatah movement ahead of the elections that Abu Mazen announced last year and which have since been cancelled.

Al-Kadwa is now considered one of Abu Mazen's harshest critics.

A few weeks ago he launched the "National Salvation Initiative", a document with a plan calling for a deep and broad change in the Palestinian political system.

In practice, this is a move aimed at delegitimizing Abu Mazen's rule and encouraging civil uprisings against him.

AFP,

Alkadawa speaks openly about the corruption rampant in the Palestinian Authority, and opposes the sole rule of Abu Mazen.

"We don't have laws. Everyone does what they want, especially the ruling leadership, and there is a lot of corruption in the authority."

Regarding the recent appointments made by Abu Mazen, including the promotion of Minister Hossein al-Sheikh to the position of Secretary General of the PLO Executive Committee, Alkadwa said: "All this will fly in the air within 24 hours. I don't want to talk about specific people and names, but in order For someone to lead the Palestinian people, he needs to have skills that qualify him for the position. When you want to bring us someone who doesn't have that, it's a travesty. There's no escaping ballot boxes. Anyone who comes to power, needs to have legitimacy. These appointments that Abu Mazen made are on the sand. The leadership Ours is in a state of paralysis, brain death. Today we are in a state where Abu Mazen decides everything."

In the issue of the day after Abu Mazen, Elkadawa warned against Israel's attempt to force its "favorite candidate" to head the Palestinian leadership.

"If Israel imposes a certain personality on the Palestinian people, it will lead to anarchy. The people will not accept it."

Also, Alkadawa warns against an explosion in the Palestinian street in view of the current situation.

"As a member of this nation, I see that there is a great disgust with the situation, also with Israeli policy. There is anger that wants to explode in front of Israel and in front of the ruling Palestinian leadership, in addition to the security anarchy that exists in Nablus, Jenin and the Palestinian cities. The Palestinian situation is on the verge of collapse," Alkadeva warns.
