As-Suwayda Poultry Facility produced about 9 million and 325 thousand eggs during the past seven months, according to its general manager, Dr. Talaat Nemer.
In a statement to SANA, Nimr explained that the production was marketed through direct sales outlets in the facility and a number of public sector agencies, in addition to the private sector's procurement of quantities of the material, noting that the total value of sales during the same period amounted to about 3.1 billion pounds.
He said: "The pace of work in the facility is going well in order to maintain the production process and to continue offering fresh eggs, despite all the difficulties represented by the high prices of production requirements."
It is noteworthy that the Suwayda Poultry Facility was established in 1976 and began operating in 1978, and it contributes to securing fresh eggs for citizens.
