For the 30th time, the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) is organizing the "International Seminar for Managers in Rural Youth Work", which was officially opened last week in the House of Bavarian Agriculture in Herrsching.
The seminar lasts until August 23 and is specifically aimed at managers who work full-time or on a voluntary basis in rural youth work and in rural areas.

- The participants in the seminar in Herrsching act as multipliers of the newly acquired knowledge and skills in their home countries and thus bring about a diverse further development that is possibly more important today than ever.
The opening ceremony included Dr.
Hanns-Christoph Eiden, President of the Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food in Bonn, and District Administrator Stefan Frey.
Under the motto "Ready to act - consciously accepting challenges", the 78 participants from 40 countries will work together intensively over the next two weeks to further develop rural areas worldwide.
“Young rural women and men are the future of agriculture, the levers for food security and rural poverty reduction.
Their energy and dynamism are crucial for the transformation of our food systems and rural areas in the midst of growing challenges from climate change, armed conflicts or the Covid 19 pandemic," said Gunther Strobl, seminar leader and director of the House of Bavarian Agriculture.
"Successful joint action in diversity is crucial in order to master global challenges and to become and remain resilient ourselves," said Eiden.
Because these challenges, which arise globally, cannot only be dealt with locally.
