The Palestinian Prisoners Club warned of the deterioration of the health of prisoner Iyad Hrebat as a result of the Israeli occupation authorities' procrastination in providing him with the necessary treatment, calling on international institutions to pressure the occupation to stop the policy of deliberate medical neglect that led to the death of dozens of sick prisoners.
The Prisoner Club clarified in a statement today that Haribat, 39, who is detained in Raymond prison, needs an urgent operation, as he is currently suffering from an opening in the abdomen, following a surgery he performed last year, noting that the occupation authorities prevent him from performing it despite his urgent need and abuse him by repeating Transferring him from one detainee to another will negatively affect him.
The club indicated that Haribat, who has been detained since 2002, also suffers from a neurological disease that causes him to constantly shiver, affecting his ability to move. He also suffered from temporary memory loss earlier.
